About

This is a sort of “About me” section so I would see it fit to write a little about myself in here. My name is Jennifer Jones (thought most people call me JayJay – even at work and uni – Jennifer is reserved for when I’m getting told off); I’m 22 – I live in Glasgow, next to the SECC. I’m from Ayr and I’m studying at Paisley University – in Ayr – but living in Glasgow – because I pretend the city keeps me sane – but spent about 30 hours a week in Ayr someway or another. It makes sense in my eyes; trust me.

I am in my final year studying Media. Hence the need for a “production company”. I’m apparently specialising in Independant Production but I took a year out last year to “discover myself” after a particularly nasty break-up, cat-death, grandpa-death and general all over cock-up at life; so my skillz could be considered “rusty” in terms of film making and production management. I wouldn’t let that put you off because I have total faith in the fact that I am going to never do the same thing again and I assure you that this blog will be living proof of my fantastic adventure into the depths of my own abilities and self-worth. I hope you are all gagging on the cheesy sentimentality spewing forth. Every student production company needs a healthy dose of unrealistic expectations and puerile arrogance; GenericStudentFilms will try hard and be as generically “student” as possible.

This blog is different from my personal blog as my personal blog is more about my other university work such as my dissertation research project and how much I hate my part-time job in O2.
